1. JONES in Ripley County early 1800's [1]

Hello Ripley County Researchers, I'm seeking information concerning my JONES ancestors who were: Samuel JONES & wife Catherine (Kitty) VanPelt. They came to Ripley County about 1820 from Fayette County, Ky. They lived near Cross Plains. They had children: 1. Samuel jr. 2. Joseph 3. Eliza 4. Henrietta 5. henry C. 2. Remstedt [1]

My ggrandfather was John Remstedt b1835....in 1840 when he was 5 yrs old he and his family moved to Ripley Co where he lived until he was 22 he then moved to Ca. I am looking for his father, mother, and sibblings. I would welcome any information on the Remstedt name I have only found it twice....once in an Indiana Cencus as Remsteads, I have also found it spelled Rempstead, Remstead, Thanks Judy

My ggrandfathere was JOHN REMSTEDT. I know he was born in Derby, Perry Co. Sep 10, 1835 and moved to Ripley Co about 1840, when he was five years of age and lived there until he was about 21 then moved to California. I am looking for his father and mother and sibblings. Help please ! Judy
