I kow that Leonard Reed lived in Shelby County for the 1830 Indiana Federal Census. His listing shows that he had a wife between the ages of 20 - 30.
In 1835, Leonard Reed married Elizabeth Stone in Cass County, Indiana.
I believe that his first wife died sometime (obviously) between the 1830 cen

Jim,
Thanks for your response. Sadie was my aunt, my mother's oldest sister. I did manage to get her obituary from the IndyStar, but thanks for your kind offer. Would love to any information you could give me Lafayette's family and their connection to the Keatons of Shelby Co.
Would that 30 day period be from date of publication or from date of
applying? Seems it would be from date of applying rather than the other
instance. Melinda, you are in Shelby county, aren't you? Would you know
this type of wording to be taken either way or ??

This is a "one and only" in all my years of researching and was
really curious. Thought possibly the divorce waiting period wasn't over but
it was over a years waiting ~ ~ I know out here in Washington state they use
to have to wait a year before a re-marrying could be applied for but of
course that has all change too.

Based on new information from Cheryl Buckler, I changed the earlier picture of Richard and Charlotte Buckler:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~inshelby/family_records/fam_buckler.htm
and added a picture of the Buckler family cabin (complete with Airdales):

Use the link under the picture for a larger view.
The cabin was located somewhere east of Norristown.
I received the copy of an obituary for my Grandmother Dec. 1927 Indianapolis

this person but it stated that she was born in Shelby County and so I thought I
would list the obit and hope it will help someone.
