1. Bios, Organizations, etc [1]
I just wanted to remind everyone that not only do we have a couple biographies online and the Indiana Biographies Project has them too. You can get to the Indiana Biographies project via the Spencer Co main Biography page. http://www.usroots.com/~jmurphy/spencer/spencer.htm The main Indiana Biography page is at: http://members.tripod.com/~debmurray/indybios/county1.htm These biographies are from out of copyright books such as the history books for the counties. Wonderful reading and sources. All surn
2. Re: Congressional Action [1]
Loyd I want to thank you and others who have kept me abreast of this situation -- every year this has come up since Arpanet and BBSing first started and it still comes up. Although they consider it a "hoax" similar to the urban legends, it is always a possibility that it COULD BECOME REALITY. 3. Help Needed Please [1]
I am trying to find information on various plaques, memorials, statues, etc. that are in the county. Have been told there were one or more there with names of military persons and the wars or other info on them. If anyone has a copy of this list (even a partial list of one or more name) I would appreciate knowing where this is located (like if in front of a courthouse, in a specific park, on a specific street corner, etc) so this can be added to the webpages (visitors would like to find these I am sure)
4. Marriage info [0.990039]
I would love to know if anyone there has information on the marriage of Raymond Parton to Cora Smith on August 10, 1925 in Spencer County. I really need to find out about them. What info is on their marriage certificate? How old was she? Who were her parents? Who were his? Do you have anymore info on either of them? Angie Bush
5. New Surname list [0.990039]
Hi list, I have started a new mailing list for the surname HUSER. There were Huser families living in Spencer County from about 1850. If you would like to subscribe to the list here's how: To subscribe to the HUSER list in mail mode, send a message to: HUSER-L-request@rootsweb.com that contains the word subscribe and nothing else. If you prefer digest mode, send the command instead to HUSER-D-request@rootsweb.com. Thanks... Dana Christian
