Hi all,
In the 1880 census for Pleasant, Switzerland Co., Indiana the following is
found
Thomas R. Lazenby 30 married Pentographer IN NY Penn.
Joseph Lazenby 65 married Cooper NY RI RI
Mary A. Lazenby 55 wife married keeping house VA Ireland IN
James E. Lazenby 16 single son works on farm IN NY VA
My interest in all of this is that I believe that Mary A. Lazenby is Mary
Ann Lazenby and a first cousin of my 2nd Great Grandmother Caroline Rowe
Phinney.

Karen, I thank you very much for all the Lazenby information. I greatly appreciate it.
I am researching "Thomas Lazenby" because he may be related to my GGG grandmother Elizabeth Ann Lazenby-Sapney and to Susan Lazenby-Fitzsimmons. Possibly a brother or cousin.
There is another Thomas Lazenby on the 1810 census in Angelica Allegany Co. NY and I believe this to be the parents of Elizabeth and Susan. I cannot prove this. (On the Ancestry census records this is indexed as Thomas Jazenby.)

frank, i did a google search for "thomas lazenby" (use the quote marks) and
got a lot of returns. narrow it down by simply adding indiana to the search
line, that brings 25. just doing "lazenby family" brings over 1,000
returns, a lot to wade through!
found him in 1860 census in vevay
thomas lazenby 64 cooper born Pa
catherine lewis 37 tailoress born NY
clara age 16 born IN
i'm thinking that catherine in 1860 and the caroline in 1850 might be same
one, caroline in 1850 was 25 so born 1825, catherin
According to the Switzerland Co., IN Cemetery Locator by Ellyn R. Kern,
published by the Switzerland County Historical Society, this is the
location of Gullion Cemetery:
"South side of Log Lick Creek, near Markland Bridge. Go left on B. Ballard
Road off SR 156, left on Patterson Lane, at end of lane turn left on farm
road. Just past power lines on rise overlooking creek, the stones are
surrounded by locust trees on a promontory which extends into the lowland by
creek. Josephine Brown's headstone and a coup
I am searching for information on the Thomas Lazenby family that is listed on the 1850 census record in Switzerland Co.
At that time the family consisted of
Thomas Age 54 b PA
Isabella 57 b RI
Caroline 25 b NY
Clara 6 b IN
I would like very much to find the parents of Thomas.
If anyone can assist me in finding information on this family I would appreciate it very much. Thank you in advance for your help. Frank

going on the below from larry noble at ancestry.com, i did some searching
in genealogy.com as they have different, and many times better, stuff there.
in the R.I. Genealogical Register, Volume 1 No.1, Line of Descent from John
Albro, page 30 i'm sure you'll find Albro info that will be helpful to you
once you make a connection to it. i'll try to outline the info with out
having to type it all -- a lot of info from genealogy.com i can not copy
and paste as it won't work.
