2. Re: St. Mary's Catholic Church in Evansville in the 1870's [1]
Thank you. I'm hoping that the church has the early records. I think that the Holy Trinity must be the old Trinity and apparently they were there from like 1849, so the Reiman's may have attended that church first. Thank you again. Carole Tucker
3. Obtaining IN Death Certificates ~ Finding IN Cemeteries [1]
Dear Regina My understanding is that you sent to Columbus County, IN, for a death certificate for Catherine A RAPP, and none was found. A woman's final married surname may be required - to find an individual's records in public archives. I have searched the [online] obituary database for Evansville, IN - found 37+ other Rapp individuals listed --- but not Catherine Rapp. Web site: http://browning.evcpl.lib.in.us/ If you are unable to get back to the person who gave you dates of birth and death ---

9. St. Mary's Catholic Church in Evansville in the 1870's [1]
I would like to know if the St. Mary's Catholic Church is still in being in Evansville. The Reiman's from Leignitz, Germany apparently attended this church from 1859 on through the 1880's at least. I would like to find the birth record of Josephine Reimann born in 1860 in that area. She later married Frank Ritz in 1882. She was the youngest sister of August Reiman.
10. Re: EVANSVILLE, IN ~ obits [1]
To respond the best I can. Yep the John Rapp that died in 1939 is mine along with other's you mentioned. I went to http://www.ancestralfindings.com/cd216.htm Then asked for a lookup. The problem with that is that they can give you information that someone died in the period and what city or county, but not the date. I can find some info on Genealogy.com . Mail me direct with info and I will see if I can find anything out. Regina
11. JENNER family in Evansville 1840-1950 [1]
Seeking additional information on the Adam Jenner family living in Evansville in mid-1800's. I have collected most of the relevant data from the Browning Obit Index and combined it with census info and family sources to compile the family group lists included below. Can anyone provide additional detail, particularly on some of the "in-laws" and offspring? Warning! Rose Jenner married a Tom Kerth. I believe this is NOT the Thomas L Kerth (d. 4 Dec 1943) of the more prominent Kerth family in Evansville

17. Re: St. Mary's Catholic Church in Evansville in the 1870's [1]
Yes, Holy Trinity was the first RC church in Evansville for German speaking folks. It pre-dates St. Mary's and is still in operation. St. Mary's was built in 1866. Before Trinity, Assumption was the only church in Evansville for Catholics, german and english speaking. I am not sure where those records are, since Assumption is long gone. You might try the Diocese of Evansville. I know that some years ago the LDS were given access to records from all parishes for microfilming etc. so you might also tr

When I first started my research I received her death date from a relative in Evansville, IN. It was from research done from a Rapp there in Evansville, IN. Her maiden name was Catherine A Carroll. Married a John Finan and when he died married a John E Rapp. So I was sending it with her last married name. There
