You are correct in assuming that the Arles Church is RC but the headstone
images maybe of mixed domination. I am not sure what the restrictions are,
if any.
Note to the List on this subject of Headstone images:
To me they are all people buried in a graveyard/churchyard/cemetery, be they
catholic, protestant or whatever religion and as such their place of rest
needs to be preserved and respected by all for future generations.

Hello,
I am emailing the Carlow List members, who have Waterbury, Connecticut Irish
ties/roots, to see if you can go thru your old photos to see if you have any that could be used in a future book on the Irish of Waterbury, Connecticut...
We are looking for photos that show local waterbury Irish who may have been
fireman, policeman, clergy, nuns. businessmen. etc.... Photos that show
irish waterbury events such as parades, picnics, fraternal organizations
meetings, or irish family gatherings.

$3.00 a gallon for gas! its $1.36a litre over here at 3.78 litres to the US
gallon = $5.14 / gallon.
try and fit in some research on that!
The material that appears on this Carlow web site does not deliver any
monetary gain to those who
post it nor does Michael Brennan gain any cash reward from it .
You can see from the correspondence that people are prepared to share their
information whether they paid for it in cash or personal time which is great
in our present commercial world.
I think you missed my point. None of us should expect genealogy to be free, at
least not all of the time. Does this mean that commercial genealogy online
databases are a negative? It is a convenience to have these online databases,
such as Ancestry.com, but some people feel that we shouldn't have to pay for
the information. However, it's a business and we are going to see more of it.
I don't have a problem with any particular online subscription service that I
have paid for, so I see it as a positive.
This is a good thing you have done, as the church of Ireland in
Graiguecullen known as Killeshin Church has been the target of mindless
vandalism in recent years at least now we have a public record of some of
the prominent family names of the 19th and early 20th century in the Carlow
area. I noticed Benny Coalman's grave, his family also have a plot at Urglin
chruchyard.
You should note that Killeshin mentioned is Cof I the R C church of
Killeshin is about 2miles away "up the hill" perhaps in this age of d
The Carlow Tiger is working also in our small college town here; Walgreens
is building on a new shopping center a block from here, and Walmart has sent
out a PR white paper for public support of a Walmart store to be built at an

In my town, Wal Mart super store destroyed every tree and blade grass in 25
virgin acres and dug up an old Indian burial ground...the local tribe and
many, many others tried to stop them, and could not, their councilman had
sold them out..then they built on more virgin acres a Sam's super store 2
miles further down the road....Walgreen's then moved in even faster...we
have 6 Walgreen's on the same street not 3 blocks apart, the giant
Walgreen's to boot...so Carlow citizens beware, look to us in the U.S. an

All the records I have on Carlow are on the Carlow website and everyone of them is accessible from the search page. All you need to do is go to this page and type in the surname you are researching: http://www.rootsweb.com/~irlcar2/Carlow_web_page.htm
I found 18 pages on Mooney.
You will probably find a lot more if you go to Google.com. Just type in 'Mooney + Carlow' (without the quotes).
Please note that not all Carlow Parish Records are on the Carlow website. There are a lot which are still u
