4. Re: SHEA [1]
What a lovely letter you wrote to the loved one looking for family in Skibbereen. I know you made them feel very special. You did the same for me, as I too have family I am looking for in County Cork. So I am keeping your letter in my files so that I can write to the lady in the office at Skibereen, and maybe she can find my great-grandparents for me. Thank you, Cathy

10. Doyles in Inchigeelagh Parish, Co.Cork [1]
Hi All! My great great grandfather Thomas DOYLE was born 13 June 1829 in Inchigeelagh Parish, County Cork. My question is this; Where can I find a listing of town within the parish of Inchigeelagh in 1829? He married a Maggie, I don't know where, or anything about her. His father was also Thomas, wife Abigail Healy, I know nothing about them either, except that Thomas and Abigail had five other children; Narry(1821), Timothy (1823), Anstatia(1826), Ellen(1831), and John (1834). I am hoping if I can find the

In 1840 he married Mary CAPEL / KEPPLE (also of Cork) in Melbourne Australia. They had 6 children and came to New Zealand about 1870. This is all I have on them and hope someone can help. They dont appear on any convict list, and I cant find them as assisted Immigrants. If anyone can help with advise I will be most grateful. Ray Nelson
12. Timothy Finn of County Cork. [1]
I am researching the line of Timothy Finn born approx. 1814 in County Cork, Ireland, emigrated to Canada. He settled in the area of Prescott County, Ontario where he married and raised a family. I have just found his tombstone which reads: "A Native of Co. Cork, Ireland". He died in 1879 at the age of 65 or thereabouts. According to various census reports in Canada he could have been born anytime from 1806 - 1816. I have no other information on this fellow, it's like searching for a needle in a haystack.

Hi everyone I have just joined this list because I have just been told via a helpful person (aren't all genies helpful?) on a mailing list that he knew a family of HARCOURT-COOZEs in West Cork in the 1970's and 80's. As I am researching this family I would love to make contact with anyone who knows of them so that I can contact them. This information was very exciting for me because I had found no trace of this line that I am researching after his birth in Burma in 1901 so it is quite a surprise to

Leigh, There is a book called Irish Church Records by James G. Ryan which includes a chapter on Methodist records. Try writing to World Methodist Historical Society, Lake Junalaska, North Carolina, USA as many records have been transferred there. The 0485 refers to the page number on which this particular entry will be found (p485). In this case the volume number is 1866. For later entries the volumes are numbered so then you need the year, the volume number and the page number. Go back to the IGI entry and Click on Source Call number: 0101134. This is the number of the LDS film that you will find this birth on: in this case its the index to the Irish Civil registration. You will also be able to get the birth certificate itself on film at an L
