1. Help to find a Rev. J. Coombes? [1]
Can anyone assist me in tracking down a Rev. J. Coombes, who along with a M.T. Bruck, has done research into the CLERKE family of Skibbereen who I am tracing. Early this month I obtained a photocopied article written by a M.T. Bruck (Craigower, Penicuik, Scotland) entitled 'Ellen and Agnes Clerke of Skibbereen, Scholars and Writers' that appeared in no. 3 (1993) of Seanchas Chairbre. The editor at that stage was a Rev. J. Coombes of Timoleague, while manager Pat Cleary of Market Street Skibbereen. I sent

3. O'Connell's , Helen's and Mahoney's of Schull parish [0.985326]
I'm looking for information on John O'Connell, born about 1800-1820. He married Catherine Helen, born May 1825. Their daughter, Elizabeth O'Connell (b :Aug. 10, 1851) married Daniel Mahoney Aug. 10, 1869 in Goleen, Schull parish, Cork. On the marriage record, Elizabeth was listed as living in Naughaughter and Daniel was listed as living in Ballybouge. I've looked in the online index for townlands, and did not find either of these places. Can anyone help with that? I'm assuming they are both in Schull pari

8. RE: O'Connell's , Helen's and Mahoney's of Schull parish [0.985326]
According to the record the marriage was solemnized at the Roman Catholic Chapel of Goleen. Looking at the record again, Ballybouge, the second "b" could very well be a "v" instead. Making it Ballyvouge. And Enaghouter would make sense if the registrar was spelling it phonetically. Thank you very much. I'm also looking for a third place, Corlacka. My GGgrandparents first child's birth was registered in 1870 in the District of Goleen. The birth took place in Corlacka. I'm currently planning a trip to Irel
