6. Re:[GALWAY] :ook-upsTreacy-RushL [1]
Hello Patti, hello Janet. Do your Rush files possibly include anything on Ellen Rush who married Patrick Egan in Tuam on 25 July 1837? She came from Dunmore or Milltown. One of the marriage witnesses was James Rush. Ellen and Patrick , a master tailor, had several children including Michael, Margaret, Ed and John Egan, my grandfather. I very much desire to learn something more about Ellen Rush, mr great-great grandmother. Can you help? John Egan

BALLINA CHRONICLE Ballina, Mayo, Ireland Wednesday, June 27, 1849 The new fever wards or hospitals at Ballinasloe, at Ballinrobe, and at Castlebar ,are constructed on plans in praise of which too much cannot be said; at Ballina, one of the same nature is also in progress, everything which can tend to secure good drainage and ventilation has been studied, and I think most successfully in these buildings. At Castlebar I was much struck with the extreme attention given by the medical of

14. Re: [GALWAY] Broderick of Creggean/Greggeen? [1]
Hi everyone, I am delighted to say that I have just acquired the death certificate of Celia Josephine O'Meara nee Madden. I have had to wait for the 30 year time limit to expire before being eligible for her death certificate. On the certificate it has her place of birth in 1891 as Creggean or Greggeen (the printing is very smudged and I cant make out which of these it is), is anybody out there familiar with this place and if it is in Galway? It is so exciting to finally get this certificate, as I was un

16. Re: [GALWAY] Broderick of Creggean/Greggeen? [1]
Maureen, Glad to have helped. Thought you might like a tip on using Sean Ruad. To find Creggeen or any other town, type in just the first few letters. You can narrow the search by going down to County, but suggest you just try Province (Connaught) for the start. Repeat, but use "Greg" instead. I have seen one spelling on the Ordnance S

Josi This school was in existence in Galway up to 1960's (more recently known as the Galway Grammar School, College Road Galway)-due to declining numbers they closed down. I am unsure where the records are but there are still some people in Galway who went to school there . However it might be fruitful to contact the Rev. PATRICK Towers, St Nicholas's Collegeiate Church, Market Street Galway who may know whereabouts of school records. What years are you talking about ? From the info you supplied it would
