Folks,
I'll be gone for the month of September and, to prevent mailbox overload
before my return, I'm unsubbing - in a couple of days - from all of my Irish
county lists (33 of them), plus a few more, for the duration. If anyone
wants to reach me personally, my own e-mail mailbox will always be
open......but you won't get a reply until October.

Hello Mike:
I doubt it very much. Donegan is usually not considered a variant of
Donnellan (Donelan/Donellan/Donnelan/Donolan/Donlan/Donlon) - but in
Irish genealogy, who knows ? Thanks for your response & Best Regards.

Hi Kevin,
The Catholic parish in Celbridge is St. Patrick's. The parish registers
are in the possesion of the parish priest who has not allowed them to be
filmed. You might try writing to the priest and asking if he would look in
the registers for you (a donation would probably be appreciated!)

Hello all. I am new to this list and I would like to see if anyone out there
can help me. I am trying to find some information about my g-g-grandparents.
The information I have says that they lived in Celbridge in the 1860's, and
were Catholic. Does anyone have any idea of how and where I can obtain
records concerning the family. The only information I have is a birth records
obtained from LDS files:
James Connor Born 10 Feb, 1867
Celbridge, 0514 Kildare Ireland
Parents: James C
I have the following Donnellans in Kildare:
Donnellan, Esther, d. 25 Jul 1837, age: 79yr, Wife of Matthew, Clane,
[AR] [b. 1758]
Donnellan, Matthew, d. Feb 1827, age: 73yr, Husband of Esther, Clane,
AR].[b.1754]
Donnellan, Thomas, d. 28 Sep 1886, age: 75yr, s/o Matthew and Esther,
Clane, [AR][b. 1811]
Can anyone supply additional data on son Thomas or tell me if Matthew
was involved in the 1798 rebellion ? Any data at all on Kildare
Donnellans (or variants) will be appreciated. Thank you.

An August 8th letter I received from Karel Kiely M.A. of The Kildare
Heritage & Genealogy Co.Ltd says they were closing their records search
service until October due to renovation work being carried out on their
building. If you have a request in to the history and famil research
centre, they are not ignoring you, they just are not in the building and
able to do research.
