Hi Folks
Is anyone researching the Roman Catholic Phelan Family from Coolrain in the parish of Camross and Cuddagh & Rushall in the neighbouring parish of Castletown?
My great great grandparents - Martin Phelan and Ellen/Elenor Fennelly married in Rushall / Ruhall / Rush Hall on 20-29/10/1857.
Ellen seems to come under a number of names - Ellen/Elenor with various surnames - Finnelly / Findlay / Findley / Finlay / Fennely / Finley / Fineley.
They had the following children:
Mary Phelan - bap 7/11/18

If you have Windows XP or 2000 it would probably be a good idea to make sure you
have the most recent security patches. This Sasser worm is causing problems. My
son's office computers were all down.
This one is *not* caught from emails but from a security flaw in Windows.
Look under your Tools menu and you can use the Windows update.

Below is the response from Ancestry regarding my request for info. Ancestry
DOES NOT presently charge for people to see submitted family trees. And, it
does not appear they will charge under their new program either.

Following on my original post this might seem like a back track, but in fact
it is a continuation.
It follows on the heels of the CCs inaliable right to develop original
material for their county websites AND the right to limit the scope of
re-distribution of their hard earned work.
I suspect that while broader distribution pays dividends in greater input
from researchers, that advantage should also be balanced on a case by case
basis with the originator having first refusal to distribute beyond their

Jennifer, I think the question is what is being set up here. If - down the road
you suddenly can't view free "trees" then are they only going to be viewed by
subscription?
But I only wanted listers to know there seems to be a deadline for removing your
gedcom. Whether anyone feels they should is up to them.

Hello,
While looking for some trace of "my" Lawlors -- family my Mulhalls married
into -- settled in Braddock, PA in the 1860's -- I ran across this Matthew
Lawlor immigrating into New York on November 1, 1923:
Matthew LAWLOR, age (I think) 23,
Farm Laborer
Mother: Mrs. E. Dunne, Cushina, Portarlington, Queens County
Going to:
Cousin, Mrs. Thomas Elliot, 154 London Street, Yonkers, NY
This is not a family of mine and I have no other information about this
family. I am not certain of the ship's name.
Penn
Paddy of the Chieftains did. You could get info on it from his bio. Read
it in their book a couple of years ago.

Recently, I visited St. Fintan's church in Mountrath, Co. Laois, Ireland. In the parish register, I found the baptismal records for the following DALY children:
Fintan, b. December 1823
Anne, b. November 1827
Mary, b. August 1831
Rose, b. December 1833
Rose, b. February 1837
(The first child named Rose almost certainly died before the second Rose was born.)
The parents of these children were Michael DALY and Rose MENTON. Michael's first name is also recorded as "Mick," and his surname as "DEALY." Rose
Hi
I was wondering if there was anyone out there who might be able to help me with a small project I am working on.
I am trying to put together a list of Irish Showbands that used to play the ballroom's around Ireland during the 50's and 60's.
I would also be interested if anyone has any photos of these bands that they could send me and they wouldn't mind having them put on a web site in the interest of genealogy research.
Thanking you all in anticipation

Feel free to post your query:
