Looking at Brian Mitchell's book, A New Genealogical Atlas of Ireland, I
find the Barony of Clanwilliam in Limerick East near Limerick City. The
Barony contains many civil parishes, including Clonkeen. According to
Brian Mitchell's book, A Guide to Irish Parish Registers, under Civil
Parish, Clonkeen, you will find the Catholic parish of Murroe & Boher.
According to John Greham's book, Tracing Your Irish Ancestors, Murroe
and Boher are in the Cashel and Emly Diocese and their baptism and
marriage records

Hi,
I am only a recent subscriber. Is the webmaster aware a list is being
placed by Rootsweb at the top of each LIMERICK mail list digest which
has a link named FIANNA with the address:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~fianna/county/limerick.html
which leads one to a porno links!
When reached this Fianna page has on it a link titled "ArchDiocese
of Limerick". Link and the domain name look innocent enough that's
for sure , but the address http://www.limerick-diocese.org/ is
just a cover page for a porno sit
Can anyone suggest the best place (cheapest) to buy these in America?
Thanks in advance
Bart

In Limerick, traveling between Kilmallock and Kilfinane, we saw signs
identifying the area as part of the "Golden Vale." It was, indeed, a
beautiful area. Too bad our ancestors couldn't earn a living there and had
to leave!

Linda,
The closest I can find in the townlands listings is Teermena, whose main
population center is a buildup along the SW side of the R 522, just a mile
SE of Newcastle West. Couldn't find anything in google.

Hello Seamus,

I missed earlier correspondence on Chain migration but it is one of my pet

Castleblaney is a quite large town in Co. Monaghan. A long way from

Lindel,
It's nice to have the opportunity to (perhaps) help someone, who has helped
so many others in their searches. I really think the "e" is an "i" and the
"r" is an "o", and you're looking for Drominboy. The Townlands listings
shows three of them (a regular one, an uppe
What's a research leftover? I am thinking it may be research that you
paid for but turned out it wasn't your family...if so, maybe we need a
leftover site for everyone to contribute to :-)) These leftovers belong

I would like to contact anyone researching the GORDON surname in
Limerick. I am particularly interested in contacting descendants of
a John Gordon who likely had 1790s born siblings named Robert and
Maria who came to Australia in 1817. He was mentioned in a May 1889
family letter as follows:
"I heard that John Gordon's sons are living in Limerick and are

Limerick city C of I parish was likely St. John's or St. Murchin's.

There are Switzer families listed in Kate Press' "West Limerick Families
Abroad". There isn't a Benjamin but there is an Edward that ended up in
Brock Twp, Ontario. Something to look into.
