At the time of her father's death in 1908 Rosamond Marke WOOD is named as The Contessa di Sant Elia, and when her mother died in 1927 the obituary named her "only surviving child...the wife of the Comte di SantElia, Master of Ceremonies to the King of Italy". She spent the years of World War II as an 'alien' in England, died after 1945?
How can I find out more about the family of Sant Elia?

dear fellow italian researchers,
i saw your message and had to reply. although i am not sure of how you are
going to gather the information you want...after many years of research on my
italian lines, i can offer some small and interesting tidbits. my first
suggestion would be for you to contact the Italian Consulate closest to you
by letter and explain as clearly as you can your research question. you can
obtain the address of the italian consulate from your local library's
reference desk. also

The family is Trigona. Various branches have held Sant'Elia with comtal,
ducal, and princely titles. The famous countess of the nineteenth century
was the "bella contessa" -- Giulia Trigona di Sant'Elia. She was, for a
number of years, principal lady-in-waiting to Queen Elena.
