Would anyone know how to decrease the recipe to just one bowl? Recipe says
you need 3 mixing bowls. And could the dough be frozen until used? Or
baked and frozen?

My father in law was Saverio which was translated to Sam in America. They
could be the same.

Are you the guy selling the sneaky peak video shot in Toronto? Not that I
would ever suspect you of putting a mini camera on you shoe and video
taping... Nah, I cannot even type it.
I cannot believe there are people;
a) juvenile enough to do it
b) stupid enough to sell the tape
c) stupid enough to buy the tape
What a world.

Pete,
I have some interesting material about Sicily.
I am visiting in another area and don't have the
notes with me. I will be home the Sunday after Father's
Day. If no one replies to your request, contact me. I can give you the names of the mayors and Bishops of each
town you are interested in. Also their E-mail addresses.

Judy,
Thank you for the remembrance. I was in El Paso Texas
in 1943 and the place was loaded with Italian PWs. They had
the old army blues with hugh P W painted on their backs. Fort
Bliss being on the edge of the Rio Grande River (Rio Bravo) had
many Mexican females working at the Base. I never saw so many
smiling Prisoners of War. I wonder where they are now.

I'm fighting the urge to drive up there from S. Fla. and check this out. Do
you stay down all summer or head back North? We are getting to our seriously
hot/humid weather now and many locals don't go out - only transplanted
Northerners. Have fun
I might be interested, although I know only two words in Italian right
now...Garzie and Ciao.

I am having the same problem with my great grandfather, great grandmother
and another relative. I cannot find them through Ellis Island and I know
they either went to Boston or Worcester. Can anyone help me?
Their names are:
Savario (Saverio) Razzano
Marianne (Mariannna, Diana) Razzano (Tuosto)
Donato Tuosto
Where can you find these people if they are not listed through Ellis Island?
Thank you.

I just found a passenger list which I believe has my great grandfather on it.
It says he is from the residence of Costariea. He traveled to Naples to
leave for the U.S.
Has anyone heard of this city either on the Island or the mainland? Please
help.
Thanks,
Pete

I understand. I'm not offended. I don't understand the symbols either and was
hoping that someone on the list would know. It turns out that it is Spanish
and not Italian.
Thank you,

Hi Billie,
I guess you have been reading about the T-shirt thing.
I sent you to Francesco because I thought he could help
you better than me. BUT someone gave him a rip and I'm
a little embarrassed so don't be afraid to ask for help. We
are many and our help is free.

Listers,
Many are telling me that they can't find the people on
the Ellis Island List. When they can't find the name as you spell it,
try all names on the list of sound alike that they give you. Run
your check on each one to find your relatives. This is a common
occurrence. Mis-spelled names.
It helps me also because that is what I do. It is time consuming
and I would appreciate you telling me what you have checked so
as not to duplicate.
Thank you

Hi Tom / everyone,
I never had any formal training in Italian. Although, that was the only
language I spoke as a child. The one course that I recently have been
using is:
http://www.abruzzo2000.com/course/index.html
It's free and it explains the different language rules to you.
Also, this is an excellent site for anyone with Abruzzo roots.

Hi,
I meant the single letter abbreviations before names and dates "m", "ba",
and those.
I figured if I did not get their meaning others would not either.
