You might check out Elderhostel. They travel worldwide, and many seniors I know have
really enjoyed their trips. They have all kinds of International tours. They take
very good care of folks, and make sure those who need help are assisted. Or, if the
Senior is active in hiking, etc., there are those kind of tours also. Here's the
link to the Elderhostel Italian Tours:

Hope this helps.

Hello all,
My Father's family lived in Feletto and Busano, Piemonte, Italy, and I am interested in what the living conditions were in the 1890s and prior to that that would make them decide to come to America. My Grandfather, Francesco Pietro BOSONE, arrived at Ellis Island in 1891, and went on to the Gunnison, Colorado area to work in the coal mines. My Grandmother and four children came to America in 1901, and went to Gunnison to be with my Grandfather. She used her maiden name travel ling from Italy to

Mark,
Spinoso is in Potenza province and the Family History Library in Salt
Lake has microfilmed the civil records from Spinoso from 1809-1929. You
might want to order a film with the 1848 births from your local Family
History Center (Mormon Church).
I presume you know that your grandfather, Dominick, was a private in
the US Army in WWI.
Good Luck
Jerry
Hello All,
Can anybody recommend a good tour of Italy?
My mother, who is a senior, is in the "thinking" stage of planning her first
trip to Italy with her younger sister (also a senior). They want to take an
organized tour.
If you cannot recommend anything, tips and suggestions from those who have
done such tours would be helpful.
Even though I would not consider this type of tour for myself, I would like
to be helpful to her planning.
Thanks,
Tom
