I am seeking help in tracing my lineage. My grandfather's name was Logan
Henry Jackson. His father as far as I am able to find out is Ephraim
Jackson. I believe he was born around Sept 15, 1855 somewhere in Illinois.
He died April 10, 1938. My grandfather's mother was Mary Ann Lowrance. I
believe she was born June 28, 1856 in Lebanon Missouri and died Nov. 1,
1941. I believe both of them died in Oklahoma, Possibly Erich, Oklahoma.

I am looking for information on Isaac Jackson who was born August 2, 1798.
He died August 21, 1837 in Washington County in what was then known as the
Republic of Texas. He married Cemantha Gregory.
They arrived in Washington Co TX about 1828 they had five daughters. They
were Mary Ann, Minnerva Mandania, Olivia Elvira, Emily Euphema and Julia
Cemantha.

A kind and generous lady looked up some census reports for me . As usual
every fact seems to produce a dozen new questions.
The Census is from Benton Co.
"In 1830------- Able Jackson with 4 sons and 3 daughters. "
I knew this except I had one more child that seems to be missing here.
"In 1840, only one Jackson was found and his name was Elisha. Only he and
his wife in the house hold. He is between 20-30 and she is in the age of
15-20"

John Jackson was born in Mississippi in 1842, according to the 1893
baptismal record in Union County, KY; his mother was from KY and father from
VA.
have assumed that William may have gone to Kentucky and married Martha or
whoever and then they went to Mississippi where John was born. The only
