This was not written by me but was a paper in a book handed me by my
daughter-in- law. This is the story of her family as told by some member
of the Jameson family. It is somewhat rambling but I thought it might be
interesting to someone. I believe the first Jameson entered in New
Jersey and quickly went to Virginia. From there they went to Misouri and
then to Texas.

Looking for information on Nan ANDERSON b. abt1870 in MS
d. 1907. She married Albert Jerome Jamison, Jr. about 1885.
They lived around Hot Springs AR and in southern AR during
the turn of the century in the many sawmill boomtowns that were
going at that time in that area. Her pa was T Anderson.

I am seeking information on the family of Thomas James, b c 1834 in Alabama.
He married Sarah Whitlock who was also born in Alabama Thomas's father is
listed in the 1850 census in Choctaw Co., Ala as either John or George (hard
to read the abbreviation for his name). He was born c. 1805 in Ireland.
His wife is listed as Susan, b. in Georgia. Other children listed in the
1850 census in Choctaw county are Daniel, Jno?, Charles, and Mary.

My grandfather stated on his marriage certificate that he was born in
Mineral Ridge, Trumbull Co. OH. 6 july 1883 The court house says he

Fauquier County, VA from the mid-1700's on. But I just can't name that earliest

I would be very grateful for any information on John James who was born in NC
in 1777 and moved with his family to Jackson Co., GA about 1803 and then to
Jasper Co., GA about 1809 where he was enumerated in the 1820 census. In
1821 he drew land in the lottery in Monroe Co., GA. Shortly after moving to
Monroe Co. his wife died. He is enumerated in the 1830 census there. On 10
May 1835 he married Mary Jackson in Monroe Co. and they were enumerated in
the 1840 census. After Mary's death, he married Frances M
