Hi Jeff,
I am also descended from Dinah HITT KEMPER and would like to exchange
information with you on the JAMES and ALLEN families. I am intested
especially in you statement that John JAMES (1709-1778) was the son of Thomas
JAMES (1674-1727). A family genealogist with whom I corresponded about ten
years ago believed that John was the son of Francis JAMES (d. 1738), however,
she did not have positive proof. I have recently made contact with an ALLEN
genealogist that has a lot of information on Dinah ALLE
Hi- I have been researching the above name for over twenty years and have
hit a dead end with my John Jameson b. Va. (possibly Rockingham Co Va.)
and his Wife Susannah Cape Jameson. They were married in Cumberland Co.,
Ky. 26 March 1809. I think there is a possibility that John's Parents were
James Jameson/Jamison b. ca 1752 in Rockingham or Greenbrier Co. Va. and
Martha Crow b. 1756 in Rockingham Co. She was the daughter of John Crow.
Families of Crows, Capes, Jamesons/Jamisons, & Blankenships intermarried
Harriett Ann James b. 13 July 1820/Accomac Co., Va. / d. 16 April 1864
Warwick Co., Va. married Revel Parker, Jr. (ca 1815-1867). Need parents
of Harriett.
William James d. abt 1800 testate Accomac Co., Va. wife named
Patience???
named the following children:
Levin S. James
Thomas James
Elizabeth James
Susanna James
Levin S.(Smith?) James b. 9 mar 1794 d. 1845/marr. Eliza/Elizabeth Bird
d/o Eburn Bird in 1821. Was he the son of William above?
Thomas James b. ca 1798/d.1850(re:Mortality Schedule) Accomac
Hello JAMES Rooters:
I never get a response from any of you JAMES Rooter's but here goes,
anyway.
I am trying to link Phillip JAMES to the JAMES main stem. Born circa
1790 (possibly SC), Phillip married Sarah Windham (1791-1869) on 13
February 1812 in Warren County, GA. [Early GA Marriages].
Family removed to Autauga County, AL by 1840. Phillip died before 1850
in Alabama, leaving Sarah to raise a large family that included two
sons, named Phillip, and William, and five girls.
Phillip, Jr., removed to
JAMES family of VA KY IL From Amy QUOTE
