I have a ggg gf Joseph Jemison born 5/24/1793 in MD and died 2/16/1862 in MN. Joseph married Susan Ritchie born 6/16/1790 in PA and died 9/26/1875 in MN. They both lived in Bedford County, PA where Susan was born. I would like to get more info on Joseph and his family. Would he be of Scot or Irish descent and how would the name have been pronounced?
