Dear Jenkins researchers,
As a switch from focusing on JENKINS who have gone before us, I thought I'd
bring to your attention a tragic story about a Jenkins to come after us, that
is, one of our children, teetering on the brink of the transition to the rest

Joseph Marion Harris b. June 1852 married
Marseena Jenkins abt 1872. She was born iin June 1859 I believe.
The 1900 census of Fulton Co. Ga says he was born in Arkansas (AR). Marseena
Jenkins may have been born in Alabama (AL). Their children were:

Will Harris
Ethel Harris Epperson
Jessie Harris Hulsey

Hi everyone,
Just got this URL from another mailing list I'm on. If you have an
ancestor who served in the Civil War, you just may find a description of
his photo on this site. Copies of these photos can be ordered. There
were 32 Jenkins photos, all Union men. Go to the following website, and
type in the surname you wish to find:

This is the U.S. Military History Institute. Hope someone finds an
ancestor here!

My Jenkins family came from Oregon County, MO. Hiram Jenkins was the father of
several children. Hiram was killed during the Civil War at the Battle of
Corinth, Mississippi. His widow remarried and some of the sons left home to
relocate for a time in Arkansas. Let me know if this sounds like your family.

I just want to thank Toby for sharing his info re the 1790 Census for
Washington Co., PA.
While my Jenkins family came to America in 1856, from Scotland, I have many
family surnames who lived in Washington Co. in the 1700s so I found Toby's
info to be very helpful.

I received over 200 (and still climbing) responses.

but with a product (genealogy program) I had purchased and wanted to return.
You need an authorization # to facilitate a return and you only have a set

Thanks for sharing about the site growing. That means I need to
check periodically. I just assumed that if I checked it once,
that would mean no other pictures of our ancestors. That is good
information. The one picture that I got was a union soldier.

I am seeking information on Thomas Jenkins, christened 25 July 1800, Llantrissant, Glamorgan, Wales. His daughter Jane Jenkins (chr 13 Aug 1829, Dowlais, Glamoragan) was my GG grandmother.
Thomas' father was William Jenkins ( married 1802 to Anne Richards at St John parish, Cardith) and I believe his father was Richard Jenkins, but have no firm evidence.
I would greatly appreciate information on any of these names, with hopes of perhaps finding some family connections.

I am compiling data on the Jenkins of Carter Co and Johnson Cs Tn. Most of
them were descended from Rowland/Rolland/Rollen Jenkins who was in Carter
Co before 1790. He came there from Rowan Co NC.
In Rowan Co NC there was a Hugh Jenkins in the mid 1700s. I believe that
he was either a brother or father of the Rowland Jenkins who moved to Carter
CO TN.
Please contact me if you have data to share on the above Jenkins ancestors.
Thanks, Bettye

I am searching for information on Polly Ann Jenkins (possibly Mary Ann) who died about 1835 - 1840 in Pickens Co. SC. She was married to William Perkins and lived most of her married life in Lincoln Co. or Rowan Co. TN. This is the extent of my information on her other than they had a large number of children and I have a list of a few of them which includes Hardin C Perkins, b about 1812, my gggrandfather.
Any help at all will be greatly appreciated.
