Hi folks,
It appears there was some sort of problem during the last several hours.
If you posted a message and it didn't appear on the list (you didn't get
a copy yourself) then please try again. Rootsweb have also unsubscribed
many AOL users due to their e-mails bouncing. If you are unexpectedly
removed from the list at any time, please re-subscribe.

I am trying to find who Richard Jenkinson's parents were. He came to America in 1832 with his wife and three sons. They lived in Thorne and were married in Succoaltes. Her name was Mary Ann NORTH. He is listed as being 40 years of age on the ship manifest. Thanks for any help given..
Hi everyone,
If you have requested look-ups, please be patient - I am suffering from
a virus (human variety) at present so it may be a few days before you

Hi everyone,
I have created a new mailing list and would like some of you lovely
people to subscribe to it and help answer the questions which will be
submitted. If I just say that it is called UK-GENEALOGY-NEWBIES, you
should get the idea behind its creation.
I am hoping that newbies to genealogy in the UK will make the list their
first point of contact instead of asking the often seen 'silly
questions' on the main county and surname lists.

Hi everybody,
I sent the message below to one of my other lists, and thought it might

Hi everybody,
PLEASE NOTE - Please DO NOT open any attachments unless you are POSITIVE
you know what they are. There is one being spread NOW that Norton
Anti-virus doesn't pick up.
If you have received it already, and opened the attachment, your
computer is infected. Let me know immediately, *privately* if you have
been infected or you suspect it has come from a subscriber to this list.

Hi folks,
I recently adopted the Lookup-L mailing list but it was soon apparent
that it was no longer needed for the purpose it was originally created
for. It seemed a shame for it to go to waste, so I decided to try using
it for a slightly different purpose.
I am currently compiling an index to Irish research material that is
available on the Internet. Most of the links are to archived mailing
list and message board posts.
This could very easily be extended to include links to information

Hi folks,
Although I DO NOT wish the subject to be discussed on-list, I believe
this message may be of use to some of you. If you already have

It seems there's a real nasty beast doing the rounds at present, so

Hi everyone,
Before you send your e-mail to the list, why not sit back for a moment
and check it through.
Here's a few things to consider before you finally click on "send"
* Make your subject line stand out and relevant to your message.
* Take the time to make sure you type *all* SURNAMES in capital
letters.
* Read it through a couple of times to ensure it accurately conveys
your message.
* Check that the address you are sending it *from* is subscribed to
