1. [KENNEDY] lookup request - david dobson books [1]
Greetings: Is there anyone willing to do some lookups from the books by David Dobson on the Scots-Irish around the period 1725-1825. Apparently he wrote three to five books on the Scot-Irish, with at least three dealing with this period of time. I am looking for information on the Kennedy surname in County Down, especially the area in and near the town of Killyleagh or the Barony of Dufferin and the whole area known as East Down. What area of Scotland did these Kennedys originally come from? Did these K

Hi List!!! I have just received a book called "The Other Kennedy's" which contains a lot of names that I know I have heard referenced on this list. If any of you are looking for decendents or ancestors of William James Kennedy married to Elizabeth Jane Logan contact me please. I would also be happy to do lookups in this book for any Kennedy's. There is one whole branch of this Kennedy family which is still in England that this book lists as well. This book was researched by a member of the Kennedy fami

13. Re: [KENNEDY] Success story [1]
Do you know where they were born? It turns out that my great-great-grandfather James Kennedy married Mary Ann Thornley and 2 of his brothers married 2 of her sisters. So 3 Kennedy men married 3 Thornley women. I only CURRENTLY have info on 2 of them, so the third has escaped investigation till now. Send me places if you have them and I'll ask around. Carol, You wouldn't happen to have a William Bryson Kennedy born possibly in St. Louis, Mo. around 1847 in that book, would you? He was in Wy. by June 1886. There he married Allison Klontz in Nov. 1886. Said to have a brother Stonewall Jackson Kennedy and a sister, Kate. Also, there is suppose to be a Grandmother Bryson. Many thanks, Suzette Kennedy Thompson Mr&Mrs David Hightower wrote: > To all of those who requested look ups. My book is is now available. Please resend requests and I will be glad t

Greetings: I am looking for a KENNEDY branch that supposedly came from the Glasgow area of Scotland sometime after 1796 and before 1834. They settled in the area of Killyleagh, County Down, Northern Ireland. One branch of the family stayed in Killyleagh (Shrigley, Inch, Tullyveery, Cluntagh) area at least into the 1850's and possibly to the present time. Does the book mention any such KENNEDY branch. Names in Glasgow area were: Robert and wife Mary. Sons David and William. Names in Killyleagh area were:
