Hi list members. I've seen a few posts with this suggestion and I think
this is a great idea when taking into consideration all the things our
government is doing to make genealogy harder and hard with closing
public records, etc. After you fill out the 2000 census, go and make a
copy of it and keep it in a safe place with all your other important
records. After you pass on, and your descendants continue the work you
have started, they will not have to wait until 2072 to see the census

I would be interested in finding out who Isreal Smith's parents were. Does it
say in the article?
I have a Jeptha and also a Dudley Smith who married Kerns' sisters. They were
from Farquier Co., VA - at least they married there in 1835 and abt 1850.
Dudley's parents were Thomas and Margaret Smith, but I am not sure if Jeptha
is a brother, cousin or other relative.
