I would be interested in finding out who Isreal Smith's parents were. Does it say in the article? I have a Jeptha and also a Dudley Smith who married Kerns' sisters. They were from Farquier Co., VA - at least they married there in 1835 and abt 1850. Dudley's parents were Thomas and Margaret Smith, but I am not sure if Jeptha is a brother, cousin or other relative.
