6. [KERN-L] tips for sending census info through lists [0.988579]
Hey all! Just a note from your list manager :o) I have noticed a lot of census info on the lists lately, which I'm very glad to see, but some information is missing, such at county, township or page. Just a tip for when you send census info to the list, please make sure you include all information. Some of you have submitted census data without this information. I'm in the process of putting this data on the website for the list (please email if you do NOT want it on the website), so for those who didn
7. Re: [KERN-L] tips for sending census info through lists [0.988579]
I've posted that to the list quite a few times lately actually. I don't do that to the gatewayed mail, but regular KERN list. I always have a submitter line and tell people that if they don't want it on line or don't want to be on the submitter line, just to let me know and I'll respect their wishes. --- ".... valentine53179" wrote: > erin > did not know you could or were allowed to take info from the list > and put it elsewhere..... > > ----- Original Message ----- > Fr
8. [KERN-L] citations.... [0.988579]
I totally agree with Erin on giving the full citation when you send in helps... in our quest to document our families, it is important that all of the informaiton that we gather be recorded and most importantly that it be clear enough that another researcher following in your path would be able to find that specific record in the future... So if you are getting the information from Ancestry but is is via a specific census roll include Ancestry (or other REsource) and the official archives record/roll

Hi all! Just wanted to let everyone know of 2 terrific sites for IL research, some may already know of these, but for others, this may be completely new information: Pape Funeral Home http://www.papefuneral.com This site has TONS of death info for folks who died or are buried in Vermilion County, IL, especially the town of Danville. 14. [KERN-L] Tips on posting census info...an update [0.988579]
I guess I need to make this clear. I will NOT automatically take whatever is posted to the list without permission. If you post something to the list that I think the webpage would benefit from, I WILL contact you privately and ask for permission. Basically, what I was trying to get across in the original email is that if you want me to go ahead and put your census info that you submitted on the webpage, you should email to let me know the missing information, but also, this is just good practice to use
