Carol,
Good to see you o
I am researching the Philip Jacob Kern line. He was born in 1734 in
Bavaria, Germany. Is anyone out there working on this line?? I look
forward to hearing from you.

I have included a 6 generation descendancy for John and Christena KERN, my
gg grandparents. I can provide further information on the family of their
son, John W. KERN, but the rest of the family is a "guesstimate" based on
some probate documents. I'm specially interested in getting any more
accurate data on the other families of this John Kern, or on his ancestors.
John and Christena were both born in Germany, and were in Ohio by 1850.
Best wishes from us for the upcoming holiday seasons.

I've mentioned this Newsletter on the lists before, but I thought I'd send
out another note on this FREE, regular Newsletter. I've quoted from the
first few paragraphs of the current issue. If you would be interested in
subscribing to this Newsletter, read the last paragraph quoted.
I think it's a pretty good resource and the price is right.
Take Care,
Chet

Hello from sunny Califonia:
This is my first message to the KERN listserv and these are my KERN
ties as I know them:
Our Kern roots date back to Abraham Kern whose family migrated from
the German Pfalz and settled in York, PA. (this is all I know of
Abraham), other than he had at least four children...and that he took
an oath of allegiance to England in 1727 when PA was one of the
British colonies.
My great-great grandfather was Jacob Kern...born in Kernstown,
Frederick County, VA in 1779. My gra
Hello!
This is my first message to the KERN listserv and I would like to
describe my KERN ties to you:
Our Kern roots are mostly in New York City and New Jersey.
My Great Grandfather was Frederick Kern about whom I have little
information.
My Grandfather was Adam William Kern 1875-1954.
My father was "Bud" Kern who was a stunt pilot with Gates Flying
Circus in the 1930s. 1906-1953
If you have any information on any of these people, or think we
might be linked

Just briefly, I hope that you and yours have the best of holidays over the
current season. As I work tomorrow (Thanksgiving) my thoughts are going to
be with family, friends, and my extended community of Internet friends.
Take care.

Best of Everything to Everyone,
I have a couple of quick suggestions and comments for everyone.
I still haven't noticed a real problem with "commands" being sent to any of
the lists that I manage. But just as a quick reminder, all commands for any
list you receive this message on go to the address of;
maiser@rmgate.pop.indiana.edu. Do not send commands, e.g. sub, unsub, etc.,
to the list address.
I am quicking a lot more error messages from these lists which make me think

I am searching for the first wife of Fleming KERN/KERNS. I know he had children
William, Henry and Lloyd. All were listed on the 1850 census in the Roaring Creek

was 19),Catherine, and two more children, Harriet and Martin.

Hi Everyone,
Well, I'm back on line, BUT WITH A DIFFERENT e-mail address. The new, and
correct address to use for me is now:
swanson@premier1.net
I am still checking mail on my old address for another few weeks, but please
use this new address.
This address will apply to any of the surname lists I manage here on maiser.
If you've sent me a personal request for looking something up, etc., please
try to send it again. Getting onto my older address is "hit or miss" and I
may have missed a message. You
