I found out my Grandmother was mistaken since my last message she's now 93. Her Father was Jacob Snead Kern. Her Grandfather was James Kern and Grandmother was Sarah last name unknown. Her Great Grandfather was Jacob Kern and I think her Great Grandmother was Kate Houseman.
Some of the Kern's I am researching moved from Indiana to Michigan....this
would be late 1800's Hattie Kern, Maggie Kern, Donald Kern.......
thanks for any help Sandy
I am looking for information on August Kern born Iowa 1876. His parents were Ludwig (Louis) and Franceska Miller Kern who came from Germany in about 1868.
Agust married Flora Brice in Muscatine, Iowa and they had two children Louis E. and Frank G Kern
I'm trying to find out what happened to August after 1900.
Thanks,
Linda
I am researching William Kern, born in Ohio around 1827. His parents came
from New Jersey.....He lived in southern Indiana after marriage and probably
before....He married a woman whose last name was Pifer or Piper.....thanks for
any connection Sandy
Hi all! Just wanted to let you know I'm finally back as your list
administrator. Surgery was successful depending on how you look at it, but
they were able to remove 2 tumors and no more seizures.

Hi all! Remember that email I sent a couple of months ago about the new chat
rooms on the internet?? Well I'm a host now! I host 2 different chats.
I host NC/SC combined chat Monday nights from 8-9pm (eastern time zone) in the
room brick walls
I host IL/IN/IA combined chat Friday nights from 9-10pm (eastern time zone) in
the room brick walls.
We've had a great turn out for the "3 I" chat as we call it, but not so great
for the Carolinas chat. In order to get to the chat rooms, the address is
www.
