Searching for any information on Susannah KERNS who
married Bond V. Brown in August 1791, probably in Caswell

One of our list members was kind enough to remind me that part of the
problem with attachments is long messages.
Two things sometimes happen with long messages that can cause problems.
First, some email programs will automatically take a long message and
convert it to an attachment. And some Internet service providers,
commercial and other, will either reject a long message (Juno does this or
used to do this), or convert the message to an attachment (AOL used to do
this, maybe still does).

This will lead you to my personal home page table of contents and then you
can follow it to my family history/genealogy page. The sites linked to
from this page give a good general idea of the names which I have in my
database. Two of the sites take either my ancestry or my wife's ancestry
back as far as we have information for. The other two sites take one of
I am looking for any information on John Adam KERN b. between 1800-1820,
probably in Alsace or maybe Baden. His daughter Mary Catherine was born in
1839 in Ontario, Canada. She married Diebold (or Theobold) STOSKOPF circa
1860 in Winneshiek County IA.

Hi Everyone,
Just a reminder to all subscribers to the lists I manage on RootsWeb. DO
NOT send attachments to the list address.
If you have something that requires attachments and it might be of general
interest, post a short note to the list and ask people to let you know if
they want the information. Then send them the attachment by private email.
There are still some email programs out there that get totally messed up
with attachments. This is one of my very few hard and fast rules, NO
attachments
Welcome to the month of October, 1997. Certainly seems that this year has
been going by way too fast.
If you are subscribed to more than one list that I manage you are getting
this message once for each list. Sorry for the repeats, but it's just an
easier way for me to do things.
I am trying to serve two purposes with this message. First, I want to make
sure you all realize this list is still around since none of these lists I
manage is very active.
Second, I want offer some reminders. Keep in mind

Looking for the ancestors of Nicholas KERN and Christine FUCHS KERN.
Nicholas was b. 15 Nov 1830 in Baden, Germany. Christine was b. 27 Jan 1830

here but were listed next to each other on the ship's log. Nicholas was
listed alone and Christine had listed, Jacques age 21 and Jacques age 5 as
travelling with her. I have

Just a reminder message for anyone on the BEERS, GODFREY, KERN, MONROE,
RICHMOND, SPICER, STEARNS or TINGLEY surnames lists which I manage on the
RootsWeb server.
Messages for the list go to one address, commands, e.g. unsubscribe to a
different address, and messages to me specifically go to an entirely
different address! A lot of our newer members have been sending their
messages to the command list. When that happens the server at RootsWeb
forwards the message to me because it doesn't recognize the com
Ah, my KERN line. John Kern, b ca 1822 in Germany is my tough Kern
ancestor. Anyone have anything on him? I'd also be interested in any more
information on any of his descendants. With the exception of the
descendents of John W. Kern, most of this is "guesstimates" from various
probate documents.

Just a reminder to anyone subscribed to the BEERS, GODFREY, KERN, MONROE,
RICHMOND, SPICER, STEARNS or TINGLEY lists here on RootsWeb. These lists
are not very high volume lists. It is not uncommon for there to be several
days, or even longer, between messages on these lists.
Just because you are not getting regular messages DOES NOT mean that you
are no longer subscribed to the list. DO NOT try to subscribe to your list
again just because you don't think you're getting enough mail. All that
does is ge
