LONG FILES, MESSAGES AND ATTACHMENTS
On one of the other mails lists this weekend someone sent a 1.2 MB GEDCOM
message to the entire list. The message was actually meant for one
specific person but everyone on the list received it. One person
commented that it took him and his service provider more than six hours
to straighten out that system because of the problems this message
caused. I was out of service for over an hour myself, before I could
finally get the message deleted.

With two thoughts in mind, first to let everyone know the list is still
around, and second to encourage exchanging information, I have included a
3 generations printout of the family of John W. Kern and his descendants.
Feel free to use the information as appropriate.

My great great grandmother was Caroline Kern/s who married Elisha West

Hi,
I am new to the list and have been looking through the archived postings.I
am just starting to research my GGGrandparents, Edward Lee KERN and Flora
Elizabeth COOK.
I know very little about them. Edward was born in Canada in 1832 and Flora
was born in New York. I know of two of their children, Ellen Elizabeth KERN
born 28 May 1863 in Canada (my GGrandmother) and John C. KERN born in 1864
in Canada.
The first record I have of this family is Ellen Elizabeth (KERN) ALLEN's
appearance on the 1895 state c

Following is a short, 5 generation chart of the known descendants of John
& Christena KERN, who came from Germany and were in Ohio by somewhere
around 1845. With the exception of the data on John W. & Nora (Conner)
KERN and their descendants a lot of this information is not confirmed and
is deduced from a will of a member of the family.

The following poem was on the Internet back in May. I kind of liked it
and asked the writer if I could send it out to everyone. Her entire

I wrote this poem a few years back when I found that my time got away
from me especially when it came to answering the letters of people who
had written me. I think this also may apply to why we sometimes do not
get answers from our e-mail friends.
