Hello everyone! I have seriously been working my butt off all weekend
on the rootsweb homepage. I have spent a total of about 20 hours on Sat.
and Sun working on it and now all day today (not counted in the 20
hours). I was going through the DAR lineage books on the ancestry
homepage (http://www.ancestry.com/ancestry/search.asp) and I got a great
idea for a new addition to the homepage...Military ancestors with the
surnames of my lists (below). Now, i have some info on Rev. war
Bradfords, but that
Catherine Kearn(s) married Josiah (or Isaiah) T. Bohrer in Fayette Co.,
Ohio on July 29, 1827. Anyone out there know anything about her family
or where she originated?
Thanks,
Linda Bohrer Anderson
Hi
My ancestor's name is Mary (b.1823, d. 1871, b. Lafayette, IN)
The story is: she married ? Kern who died/was killed c. 1853 in Philadelphia.
Their only child, Catherine, was born in Philadelphia shortly before his
death.
Mary and Catherine moved to Lafayette, IN in the next 5 years.
Not a lot to go on, I admit. Can anyone help?

This week's phrase is "uncommon common name" :) What this means is in
your line, if you have found any strange (or not so strange) names the
occur often, post it to the list. I don't necessarily mean names like
"John" or "William" (which is probably the most common male COVENTRY
name), but if there are maybe four out of 7 people in your line named
"Ezekiel" or "Jabez" (which is one in my Kendall line), then post those.
It IS ok if you want to post
Need info on Jacob Kerns -no dates or locations. He was married to a
Hannah ??
Their son, James M. was b. ca. 1827 in Monongalia Co.,Va. & married
Selina E. Hays on Dec. 17, 1856 in Wetzel Co., WVa. Any help would
be greatly appreciated.

Hello lists. I have seen some of the posts so far on the "uncommon
common" names and I think some people have misunderstood what it is I
was trying to get people to post. I didn't mean for you to post your
most uncommon name, I was trying to get people (which most of you have
basically so far) to post uncommon names that reoccur in your lines.
Like the example I used with Jabez, which is not that common, the line
started out with Jabez, his son was also Jabez(2), and the grandson of
Jabez(2) was a

>Hello, Erin! I'm receiving double messages from our ELLER list.
>Should I "Unsubscribe" once - and see what happens? Grateful for all
>you do...Julie
You know Julie, I've been having the exact same problem myself and I'm
not sure what is going on, but I'm pretty sure if you were to unsub
once, you wouldn't get ANY mail. For the time being, i'd suggest to
just stay subbed and trash the 2nd copy and I will do my best to find
out what is going on. I'm pretty sure it's a bug in the rootsweb
system
Hello Kern cousins,
Stop by and see my website for Kern information. Send me an email if
you think we have a connection.
