1. Keskastel [1]
Hello dear friends, I send you a translation of an article of the regional newspaper DERNIERES NOUVELLES D'ALSACE about Keskastel. Pierre Bailliet gives the second part of his study onto families emigrated into the Country of Sarrebourg and Alsace Bossue (the Koeppel, Vautrin, Bieber, Kocher...) towards America, on t
2. a neat site [1]
Most of you probobably know about this site, but I've only come across it: http://alsace.bossue.free.fr/vivil.htm There are photos and history for nearly every village those on this list may claim ancestors from, and some of the pages include neat effects (look up Drulingen, where my surname started). 3. interactive map [1]
I've linked many of the villages on the L'Alsace Bossue web site to a map of the area between Waldhambach and Drulingen. I hope it will prove useful, with the only drawback being that it takes a long tome to load. Sorry Keskastel is too far east to be included (My scanner can olny cover so much!) Thank you for sharing this website, Brendan. It is wonderful to view pictures of my grandfather's birthplace, Keskastel. If anyone lives nearby, I would like to have a birth record from the Lutheran Church of my grandfather, George Reeb born 1885 to Katherine Reeb in Keskastel. I am searching for the name of his father. Thank you. Best regards, Gail Ferris in Nebraska Brendan Wehrung wrote: > Most of you probobably know about this site, but I've > only come across it: > > http://alsace.bossue.free.fr
