I want everyone in the whole wide world to know that I finally found out where my KIEL family came from. Johann Friedrick & Henriette Catharine (nee MYERS/MEIJER) KIEL came from Neuenkirchen bei Melle with 2 children in 1845 to Buffalo NY. Johann Friedrick died July 1849 in Buffalo. Henriette came with her two sons to St. Louis abt. 1870. Now, are there any KIEL's connected to this KIEL family. There may not be. Johann father Franz Fiedrich died when Johann was only 9 abt.1813, Johann mother Margaret
I am selling an item on Ebay that has the KIEL surname on it. It can be viewed at ... http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1622430287
Would make a great gift for any Genealogist. This item appears to be old.
I just checked the LDS IGI & found that there may have been a marriage in
Winzlar, Hannover of my KIEL. I believe my ancestor to be Heinrich Wilhelm
KIEL married 11 Nov. 1830 in Winzlar, Hannover to Henriette Caroline
Margarethe BROESCHE. This could be the same Henriette KIEL with son
Heinrich Friedrich in St. Louis 1870 & 1880 with Henriette the mother dying
in St. Louis 1881. The IGI record for this family is sealed. Does
anyone else have this family in their tree?

Just found out there was a list for the surname KIEL.
I want to post my KIEL in hopes of finding others researching the same

I believe Frederick & Henrietta b.1813 KIEL are the parents of Carl Wilhelm
& Henry Frederick KIEL. There may be other siblings. I have seen
documents that stated that they were from Osnabruck Hannnover Ger. Carl
may have been married before marrying about 1868 Ann Elizabeth UNKNOWN from
WV. I believe they immigrated in 1849, & came to St. Louis about 1868.
I was told t

Online Genealogy Dictionaries and Lists
I have been collecting URLs (Web addresses) of various online dictionaries and lists that are useful to genealogists. These are useful when trying to decode foreign or obsolete words often found in genealogy work. Here are a few of my favorites:
