Family lore has it that Stephen Killian, born in Cape Girardeau County, MO, in 1855, went west for a gold rush, then went on to Australia according to someone who went back to Missouri, but was never heard from again in my family. This Stephen Killian was son of Jacob Killian (son of Phillip Killian and Mary Hoskins) and Percilla Hahn. Phillip Killian was son of John Killian and Anna Elizabeth Vollbrecht. It is a list to help research the Killian lines. An idea was brought up to use a coin minted to raise funds. I merely objected to that idea and stated why. Perhaps the CSA supporters on this list should also understand that they are being political. I merely objected to the politization of Andreas Killian by associating him with something held dear by some perhaps but repugnant to others of us. It is not a South versus North issue since I consider myself a Southerner from Virginia. My point is strengt

Nice statement. Completely inaccurate and insulting for no purpose but it sounded nice. Seems you are rather self righteously deciding I am somehow the sort that would always be in a state of war. Prideful? Where do you get these ideas? Again strengthening a claim not first made by me that the idea would be to divisive.
