On the Kincaid list on Genforum, there is a message from a Rick Kincaid that
Naphtali's parents were David Kincaid and Ann Jenkins. Is this perhaps the
early David Kincaid in New England?
This link between Naphtali and David Kincaid would have to be researched,
but if true, you are possibly from one of the earliest Kincaid families in
the U.S.

We left off at the intersection of the Mill Creek with Christian Creek. Christian Creek flows NE along the western border of John McNutt's tract and eastern border of William Henderson's tract into the tract of Thomas Johnson. Here it is joined by Black Creek flowing in from the south.

The source is on John Black's tract (see South Fork of Shenandoah), flows by Wm Davis and Andrew Hunter through Robert Cunningham's then Thomas Black's land. It flows between Thomas Henderson and Wm Henderson

My first message should have been better written: It was Reuben Kincaid who said in his pension application that he was at the taking of General Burgoyne. Reuben was from Newcastle, MA, and when he applied in 1818, he lived in Wiscasset, Lincoln Co, Maine.

Just a note to commend Sue for all her research efforts. Nice

One of my many hobbies is Old Time Radio. Last night I was listening to an episode of Frontier Town from 9-26-1952 entitled "Return to Dos Rios". The two "bad guys" in the episode were Rafe and Breck Kincaid(!).
If anyone is interested in hearing this show, let me know and I'll post it for download. It's in .mp3 format, and it's a bit crackly, especially at the beginning, but it's all audible.

However, for us Kincaids that are descended from Scottish Convenanters or
Presbyterians, Culloden was not a defeat but a victory. It was the final
expulsion of the papal-supported Catholic Stuarts who, although Scottish, had
persecuted, hounded, maimed and massacred us during their years on the English
throne. Convenanters welcomed the invasion of William of Orange and the
removal of the Stuarts.

First, Thank you all for your encouragement and a special thanks to Debi for taking what I post a step further. Every bit helps us with this puzzle.

The Augusta site has a plat map of Beverley Manor. It is rather large and presented in parts. I am not going to go tract by tract here. There are large areas with only marginal interest to us. I will touch on them briefly in the interest of completion, then concentrate more heavily on Christians Creek.

Her wonderful data on the location of the various families of Augusta

evidence which I feel supports some conclusions about Andrew's children.
