Daniel Morgan Hill was born Feb. 17th, 1917; deceased this life, Nov. 19th, 1920, age 3 years, 9 months, 2 days. Little Dannie has lived almost all his life with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Hill. He was such an affectionate little fellow and was loved by all who knew him. Little Mary Ellen, the adopted daughter of G.R. WOODWARD, died at their home at Medicine Lodge on Thursday, Dec. 23. She was brought to Harper where the funeral services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Crawford BURDG. Lawrence Douglas HUGHES, 71, 5114 W. 25th, died Sunday in a Topeka hospital after a short illness.
Mr. Hughes was born March 20, 1806, in Thomas, Okla. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, American Legion, Phi Delta Theta, and Central Congregational Church, all in Topeka. He had lived in Topeka since 1934, when he moved from Lawrence. He was a retired manager of the Kansas State Employment Agency.

O.D Hollis Dies.
Word has been received of the death August 2, in Tampa, Fla., of O.D. HOLLIS, formerly of Topeka. Mr. Hollis died as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident. He was a brother to Mrs. G.J. MULVANE, Miss Mayme HOLLIS and A.B. HOLLIS, of Topeka. A.B. Hollis has left for Tampa to attend the funeral.

Emma Jane WARTENBERGER was born February 4, 1848, in Stark Co., Ohio. Being 62 years, eight months and twenty-eight days of age at the time of her death.
She was united in marriage to William DEAN on the 26th day of September 1866 in St. Joseph, Mo. To this union were born six children, three of whom survive her. Henry Oliver Dean, William Dean, Jr., of Butler, Okla., and Elza Dean of Greenleaf, Kan.

Word was received here last week of the death of Mrs. J.B. ERVIN, which occurred at Oklahoma City, Oikla., last Saturday, December 18, at her home in Oklahoma City. The remains were laid away in the vault on Sunday, Dec. 19. Mrs. Ervin was a former Harper resident and leaves a host of friends and relatives to mourn her loss.

Myron F. HOOD, 63, 1023 Eugene, was found dead Monday afternoon on the north bank of the Kansas River under the Topeka Aveune bridge.
Dr. Antonio HAUMAN, a deputy district coroner, said an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

Irene Minor EDMONDS, daughter of O.H. and Dora Minor, was born May 4, 1893, at Holton, Kansas and died Tuesday evening, July 16 at ther home in Winchester. She attended school and grew up to womanhood in the Holton community.
In 1910, she married Leonard BLACK, to this union two children were bron, Mrs. Hazel LEWIS, Leavenworth, and Wilma LANDON, Sacramento, Calif. Mr. Black died in 1913.

Lawrence--Walter M. NELSON, 76, Lawrence, died Sunday morning in a Lawrence hospital of a stroke.
Mr. Nelson was born Sept. 17, 1891, in Reno. He had lived most of his life in Lawrence. He was a member of St. Luke AME Church, Lawrence, and was a member of the church Trustee board, Steward Board, and Men's Club.

"Grandpa" MEEKER, well known to every resident of Oskaloosa, died in Topeka last Monday and was brought home for burial Tuesday morning.
The funeral was held Wednesday in the Methodist church, the services conducted by Revs. McConnell and Wilson, and the body was laid to rest in the Pleasant View cemetery.

Enemy Records Identify Body of Leonard Lobb.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward LOBB, Kansas City, Kansas, have been advised by the Army Air Forces, Washington, D.C., that the Air Forces recently completed translation of several volumes of captured German records, that among them is a record of recovery of the body of Lieut. Leonard C. Lobb, and its burial in the cemetery at Long-Plage between Calais and Dunkirk.

Mrs. Julia Ann SMITH, 89, of 726 Arter, early Kansas pioneer, died Monday in a local hospital.
She was born in Charleston, W. Va., October 16, 1854, and when ten years old came to Kansas with her parents who settled in Holton. She resided in that community 45 years, then came to Topeka where she had lived since. She was a member of the United Brethren church.
