I think David is John's son. John had LOTS of sons. I'm not yet sure which one is my great grandfather - or great great. There is a Robert O. and a Robert C. Are they the same or a misprint? I will try to find out by going to the Butler Co. files some time soon.

P.S. I remember my grandfather saying that one of his uncles moved to Ohio and I think he said another to Michigan. My great-grandfather was Robert O. or Robert C. I suspect they are the same person. Maybe David was his brother.

My gggrandfather is Alonzo "Lon" Allen, (born 10 Feb, 1855 in Cedar Co., MO, died 27 Aug 1917 in Cherokee, KS). He married an unknown woman and had two daughters. His wife died of T.B. and on 12 Aug 1889 in Cherokee Co., KS, he married my gggrandmother Lillie Mae Crane (born 16 Mar 1864 in Warren Co., MO).

William was married at least twice, first to Jennie b ca 1843 IL; second to Mary J. b Dec 1860
IL.
William and Jennie had a daughter, Harriet I. "Hattie" born Nov. 1873 in IL.
1880 census William, Jennie and Hattie resided in Peterton, Osage Co., KS where William was
teaching school. He is shown born in Illinois as were his parents. Jennie is shown born about
1843 in Illinois, father born NY and mother born KY;
If anyone has access to the 1895 state census for Cherokee county,
may I please get a lookup for the following;
WINN family. no first names known, would have a young man
named George F. O'Connor (O'Conner) living with them. It's
possible that he might not even have different last name listed. He
was born 1877 PA. I would love to know the names, ages etc of the
WINN family.
