Hello, Sorry I can't help you with the information on the cemeteries. I am interested in Cassius' family up north. I have been researching TAYLORS from Leavenworth, Johnson, Miami and Cherokee Counties. They seem to have come from England to Iowa to Kansas. I have been at a brick wall for sometime. I am trying to find a burial place for the brother of my ggrandmother - Cassius M Taylor. Cassius was the City Marshall for Baxter Springs until June 24 1872 when he was murdered by the town mayor, JR Boyd. I have a copy of the town council meeting from July 11 1872 where the city approved payment to a Mr J Keenan for Cassius' burial case- $61.00. This leads me to believe that Cassius was buried in the area. Cassius' family was further north in KS - in Leavonworth and Wyandotte Counties and I can't see

Hi Doug, As far as I know, I have Kinkades in Galena from Abraham Lincoln Kinkade's time (don't have exact dates, but around 1870) to at least the time that Albert and Bessie's children were old enough to move away. I think one of them may still live there, but none of them know anything past Abraham. Albert and Bessie lived there their entire lives, Albert died in 1965 and Bessie in 1975. Hello, I am trying to find some information on my ggrandmother's brother, Cassius Taylor. He was the marshall of Baxter Springs in the early 1870's. In June, 1872, he was killed in cold blood by the town's mayor, JR Boyd. Boyd and Cassius had had a long standing feud and Boyd killed Cassius when Cassius went to arrest him after a charge had been laid against Boyd.
