S. Carder, 83, Dies in Topeka After Illness.
Samuel Jess CARDER, 83, died Tuesday after a two month's illness in a Topeka hospital. Mr. Carder had lived at Whiting before moving to Beloit 20 years ago.
He was born Nov. 24, 1882, at Whiting and was a member of the Beloit Presbyterian Church. Mr. Carder was a carpenter and farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Elva, of the home; five daughters, Mrs. Edith WOODWARD, 1108 Kellam, Mrs. Mabel BOWLIN, Mrs. Velma CAL

Sadie Braum, 87, Dies In Winchester.
Denison.--Mrs. Sadie J. BRAUM, 87, Denison, died Friday in a Winchester hospital.
She was born Jan. 9, 1879, at Clarinda, Iowa, and had lived in the Denison community the past 63 years. She was a member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church at Denison.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Braum and Wilbur Braun, both of Denison; two daughters, Mrs. Grace HOWARD, Denison, and Mrs. Allie MORE, Kansas City, Kan.; a brother, Henr

Leonora G. Haag.
Holton.--Leonora C. HAAG, Holton, died at the hospital here Sunday evening after a long illness. She was 77.
Mrs. Haag was born near Netawaka, May 15, 1887, and was a lifelong resident of the Holton community.
Her husband, Percy Haag, widely known Jackson County abstractor died three years ago.
Mrs. Haag was a member of the EUB Church, St. Cecelia Club, Tourist Club, and the Daughters of Union Veterans.

I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as Bertha DAVIS JONES & Family.
The photograph was taken at the G. M. Koentz Studio in Onaga, Kansas. The
photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Bertha and her
husband likely to be in their 30's or 40's at the time the photograph was
taken with two young boys, about 3-5 years old at the time the photograph
was taken.
Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information
regarding this family:

Holton.--Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mercer Funeral Home here for Fred B. McKINSEY, 89, Easton, who died Monday at a Winchester hospital. Burial will be in Bucks Grove Cemetery west of Holton.

She was born July 30, 1889, at Nebraska City, Neb., and lived in the Topeka community before moving to Denison 13 yars ago. She was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Holton.--Mrs. Selma HARMS, 72, Netawaka, died MOnday in a hospital here.
She was born Oct. 18, 1893 at Craig, Mo., and had lived in the Netawka community the past 62 years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at Netawaka.
Survivors include her husband, Andy Harms, of the home; a daughter, Esther Harms, Denver, Colo.; a son, Melvin Harms, Horton; and a grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Immanuel Lutheran Church at Netawak

I am looking for the birthplace of:
Mary Annette Rinehart who was supposedly born near Kansas City, Mo.
