Don Knarr, who is researching his wife's Native lines in Kansas has set up
a wonderful site where he has transcribed several roll lists from the
Kansas Kickapoo, the Citizen Band Potawatomi, and the Prairie Band
Potawatomi.
He has plans on posting Indians only from the 1900 and 1930 Federal Census
for Brown and Jackson counties.

A pretty wedding took place Wednesday, May 14th, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph COLEMAN four miles south of Denison when Rev. B.W. Hugg pastor of the Methodist Episcopal chruch performed the ceremony and pronounced Wayne W. SQUIRES of Holton and Miss Ethel COLEMAN man and wife. Mrs. Squires is a graduate of Campbell College and has taught school near here for the past two years. Mr. Squires is a prosperous farmer living north of Holton two
Ralph E. Simon Sr.
NETAWAKA- Ralph E. Simon, Sr., 80, died Monday, August 21, 2006 at the
Horton Hospital. He was born March 28, 1926 on the Kickapoo Reservation
near Horton, KS, the son of Richard and Maude Rhodd Simon, Sr.
Ralph attended the Chilocco Indian School in Oklahoma and
also the Horton High School. He was a lifelong resident of Netawaka.
He owned and operated Simon Roofing and also farmed for several
years. He was a member of the Kickapoo Drum Religion, a member of the
Kickapoo Tribe of Kansa
