Thank you Dave. I have learned that Peternella and Alice were apparently the same person. She was always listed on censuses as Alice (and on their marriage record in Illinois) but listed as Peternella in these burial records. So they were in Kansas in 1885.

Looking for information about this woman who was married 8/16/1909 in Yuma, Arizona and died 3/22/1913 in Amarillo, TX. Her obituary has little genealogical information other than she formerly lived in Topeka, Kansas and was buried in Perry, Kansas. Her husband was Herman Albert OCHSE.

Jesse F. LOWE, Perry, age 88, departed this life Friday, July 14, at the Elms Nursing Home in Winchester.
He was born into the home of James Henry and Eliza A. Lowe of Tipton county, Indiana, on Apr. 3, 1873.
His family came to Ozawkie in the year 1880, and since that time Mr. Lowe had lived in Ozawkie and the Perry communities.
