Hi Glenda,
I don't know if there is a connection. Did your Colliers come from
Illinois? I know that my Fred came from Illinois. I just don't know where
in Illinois. Nor do I know his parents or anything else.
I think he came to Labette and Montgomery Cos. by 1880.
I've just tracked down an 82-year-old great-aunt of mine who is
granddaughter to Fred...she said she'd mail me what she knows. Hoping she
can help me out. What a boon finding her!
I'll keep in touch if I find a connection and you do like

I did see a Fred Collier in the Cook County, Ill 1880 census. There are two
of them and I've requested census lookups on the Rootsweb Ill-census-lookup
message board. No response yet.

know. I have been in contact with one of his

who this person is. I have her listed in my other

I am a new member to the list. I descend from McEwens who lived in Mound
Valley, Labette, KS. My grandfather Dr. William Wright McEwen was the
mayor of Mound Valley for awhile and also the town doctor. His brother
Charles McEwen was the postmaster for a short time. His father and
mother lived there and their names were James Cochran McEwen and Olive
Wright McEwen. They are both buried there along with Charles McEwen, and
Fanny McEwen Harry. Dr. W.W. McEwen left there in 1899 but his mother

Was Fred Collier related to Susan and William Collier

I'm looking for any help with Fred Collier and his wife Grace. They were living according to 1910 and 1915 census records in Howard Twp or vicinity.

Their children were Wyatt, b. 1883 in Kansas; Burton M. b. 1888, and a daughter.
I can't find them before 1910 in Kansas, nor after 1915. Looking to see if anyone researching this
