1. Re: [KSLABETT-L] Fred Collier, 1880s-1915 [1]
Hi Glenda, I don't know if there is a connection. Did your Colliers come from Illinois? I know that my Fred came from Illinois. I just don't know where in Illinois. Nor do I know his parents or anything else. I think he came to Labette and Montgomery Cos. by 1880. I've just tracked down an 82-year-old great-aunt of mine who is granddaughter to Fred...she said she'd mail me what she knows. Hoping she can help me out. What a boon finding her! I'll keep in touch if I find a connection and you do like

Thanks Glenda! I'll check there! I did see a Fred Collier in the Cook County, Ill 1880 census. There are two of them and I've requested census lookups on the Rootsweb Ill-census-lookup message board. No response yet. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Glekay" To: Sent: Tuesday, February 27, 2001 5:18 PM Subject: Re: [KSLABETT-L] Fred Collier, 1880s-1915 Debbie, I am in Oregon also, Molalla, I didn't notice that before now. Debbie, Susan and William Collier had a couple of babies that died 1860's and they are buried in the Kingston Cemetery in DeKalb County Ill. They are the ones that moved to Labett County. Back in those days families moved with families so I bet they are connected. William Collier was in the Civil War I know. I have been in contact with one of his relatives, not for awhile. I also need to think about who this person is. I have her listed in my other email. I can give you her email if you would like
