On one it states that he was divorced from Martha Jane Taylor Montgomery at Paola, Miami County, Kansas on 6 May 1872. Another states she died in Kansas in 1868. Can anyone shed any light on this? Well for one thing we don't have a date that you posted for this family. I have found Divorce records for one of my g.grandmothers at the Genealogy Society in Paola, Ks. you can find that address or phone number on the KsMiami web page. They have a book, that lists the name of the wife, the name of the husband, the name of the parents and where the wife or husband lived when filing for the divorce.
