The Southwest Daily Times Wednesday September 18, 1940 Clarence Harvey Is Bitten by Rattler. Clarence HARVEY, farmer northwest of Liberal, was brought to Epworth hospital for serum treatment Tuesday night, after he was bitten on the leg just above the ankle by a rattlesnake. Harvey was working out in the field and did not see the snake until after it had bitten him. He was doing nicely Wednesday morning and able to leave the hospital.
