I am looking for information on William and Joseph NAtion. They were early
settlers of the Barrens. Joseph was one appointed as the first coroner of
the newly formed Claiborne Co. willaim is stated as being one of the
earliest settlers of Claiborne. He is said to have settled in Bold Valley.
His son Isaac married into the Tillman and Sharp families in the same area,
Bold or Bidg Valley.
I am trying to find the will of Joseph Nation and William if he made one.
Joseph died in 1804 but I have not been able to

Metcalfe, Monroe, Edmonson, Warren, Allen and Hart Counties all the

called SCKy with the latter covering Edmonson and Allen Co which do not

This is believed to have been compiled by one the descendants of the Tolle
family, it was found in the family files of the Tolle family maintained by
the late Eva Coe Peden. The numbering is as shown.
Roger Tolle was born February 4, 1742; died Aug 3, 1814 Barren Co. Roger
Tolle married Sally Sims about 1782; she died at birth of Alexander

I'm looking for the parentage of an ancestor who came to Texas about 1855.
On the 1850 KY Census I found three Elijah J. Clarks, all of them were in
Barren Co., KY (1) son of John and Catherine Clark (a Baptist minister) age
13. (2) there was an Elijah age 19 yr. living with Nelson Hill and (3) son
of Jonathan (with three or more sons) age 19.
These were the ONLY Elijah Clarks I could identify on the 1850 KY Census.
All I know of our Elijah J's background is that he is on all TX censuses from

Joseph Horace Lewis was a 21 year-old from Glasgow, William McGary
STEENBERGEN. Steenbergen was descended from hardy pioneer stock. His great
