2. James Ingram 1827/31 land deal [1]
Dianne: Isn't it probable that the Elisha Monis named below was instead, Elisha Morris? In the deed, is it definitely Monis vs. Morris? There are several families in the 1850 Breck. Co. census named Morris, but none named Monis. Another hint: Just because James Ingram doesn't appear in the index for a census doesn't mean that he isn't there. My wife's gg-grandfather [Charles Graham] is not listed in the back of the book for 1850 Breckinridge Co., KY census, pub. by West-Central KY Family Res. Assoc.; howe

I agree... been to quiet, and with spring and ummer coming up it's going to get even more quiet. While my researching info is tied up on a "locked up" drive and I can't get to it yet, I still would like to post the surnames that I am looking. Up until about 50 or so years ago, all my branches were in Breckinridge Co., and had been there for about 120-130 years. I'll post the earliest known ancestor and spouse and pray my memory and notes will hold out on any queries or responses. 1. Thomas Jeffers

My aunt Lettie (Oletta Claycomb Green Ellis) married a guy named Albert Ellis after her first husband died. She married Hugh Green in 1933 and was married to Albert in the fifties and sixties (I remember visiting them at their farm as a wee lass. They even taught me to churn butter and for a city girl that was an eye opener!). Does someone have marriage record, tax records or something for that decade to find this guy? I would like to fill in her blanks on my genealogy sheet for a marriage date for th
11. Norton Valley & Sugar Tree Run, Breckinridge Co., KY [1]
Pam: If this is Abigail Norton, wife of Frederick Dowell Basham, I show her as born 8 Aug 1802 [or 1807] in Whitehall, Washington Co., NY. Unfortunately, I don't know the source. Whitehall, NY is due south of Lake Champlain. If you don't have one, buy a Kentucky Atlas with GPS grids by DeLorme. If you're in/near KY, stop at Sam's Club and buy one for ca $10. Otherwise, order one from your local Barnes & Noble bookstore for ca $17. Both Norton Valley & Sugar Tree Run are shown in Breckinridge Co., but I co

13. Whitehall, Breckinridge Co KY/Sugar Tree Run [1]
I have an Abigail Norton born Whitehall, Breckinridge Co. KY. I can't find it on the map. Does anyone know where it is located? Maybe it is a slang term for an area, or the name of an estate. One source believes it might in Norton Valley, another term not found on the map but locals know the area. I wish maps could include such known areas! I might also mention sources show my folks in the Sugar Tree Run area. While the map does show a Sugar Tree Run (looks like a creek on the map) where is the "area
