To the person looking for "Kinfolks" I too once looked for this book. I spoke to Mrs. Cox and she indicated that it was no longer in print, but that copies could be found in the following places. 5. Locations of "Kinfolk" by Opal Cox [1]
I don't know all of the locations where this book is shelved, but libraries and archives in/near Bedford, VA and Breckinridge, KY are the most likely spots. I believe that I saw it at the Bedford City/County Museum; Virginia Room at Roanoke, VA City Library; Meade Co., KY Public Library; LDS Family History Center, Mesa, AZ. I presume that it's at the archives in Frankfort, KY, as well. Sorry that I couldn't be more help. Larry

I had not looked for Basham's in Audubon Co., IA, where many of my Nelson ancestors were born/lived. We were in the Audubon Public Library last week. We stumbled upon Joel Hardin Basham, b. 24 March 1838 in Breckinridge, KY -- grandson of Obediah Basham & Celia Dowell -- son of Francis "Frank" Basham & Thursia Hardin. Joel lived his life in Audubon Co., IA and still has descendants at Exira, Audubon Co., IA, we believe. The source for Joel H. Hardin is: "Biographical History of Shelby and Audubon Counties,
8. Opal London Cox, author of "Kinfolk" [1]
I learned from a lady in Enid, OK that Opal L. Cox died in Feb. 1998. All of her genealogy materials were donated to the public library in Enid, OK. Opal's book, Kinfolk, is a good one with much genealogy pertaining to Breckinridge Co., KY. Larry
