I don't remember who was asking about the Clark/Clarke marriages in early Breckinridge Co., but following is what I copied from LDS microfilm #0897218. The title of the microfilm is Breckinridge Co. KY Marriages, 1800-1818

Margaret Kiper Hurley wrote an article for the "Kentucky Exployer" vol 15
No#10 for the April 2001 issue titled `Franks, A Small Town In Breckinridge
County, Is Mostly Forgotten Today`. Does anyone know if she has an E-mail
address?
I will check tomorrow when I go to my local FHC, to see if this or any other Clarke marriages in the index. I have the 1800-1818 Breckinridge Co. KY marriage index microfilm on loan for another week there. It's not always easy to read, however, as it was typed with an early typewriter, I suspect. Probably the origninal records weren't easy to read either, given the names as they are listed on this type-written manuscript.

Hi,
I was only looking for the Clark marriages, since I had finished looking for my lines earlier. I should be going back next Tues. or Weds., and I think the film is there until Thursday, so I'll take a look for you at that time.

Very thoughtful of you. We will be visiting the Preston Cemetery, at Custer,
Breckinridge County, Ky. tomorrow, where my husband's parents, grandparents &
other relatives are laid to rest. We will take extra flowers--thanks for the
suggestion. As grave stones get age, especially if under trees, they need
cleaning. We have cleaned other stones (people we knew--related). I have seen
flowers on those who've been deceased many years & did not know they had
living relatives who lived nearby to place
Dear List,
John Clarke married Mary "Polly" Mattingly on
27 May 1809, St. Anthony's Catholic Church,
Breckinridge County, Kentucky
Can anyone find this marriage and give me source where found, full
citation as to ages of bride and groom and witnesses, also who
performed the marriage.
also If there are any other Clarke or Clarke marriages in this index
I would appreciate seeing full citations of them also.
Trying to locate brothers and sisters of John Clarke.
Hi,
The only Beard marriage I could find was for an Ezekial Beard, marrying Margaret Wales on May 12, 1812. There were no Dent's in the index.
