Searching for the history of naming the Harris Fork of Rock Lick Creek.
Located on page 47 E-6 of Delorme Kentucky Atlas. Today this is in
Breckenridge County, but originally would have been
Jefferson, then Nelson, then Hardin and last Breckenridge County. Located
close to the town of Vanzant.

Samuel Harris on 11-11-1783 enters 300 acres on or near watercourse listed
as branch of Rock
Lick Creek, entered in book#10 page 261 of Virginia Grants, Jefferson Co,
Ky. I think this is
Samuel Harris Jr, son of Samuel and Suzanna (Mayhew) Harris. James Harris,
brother to Samuel Jr,
shows 400 acres on Cedar Creek just north of Elizabethtown in 1784 at this
time it was still
Jefferson Cty. 1783 James enters 150 acres on Bear Creek just a few miles
southeast of
Litchfield, which is in Grayson Cty to
