Heard this story several times but never found anything in print or in court records till now. The Pooles [Pool/P'Pool] involved were sons of James M. P'Pool and Mary Masey. The Alexanders were children of Hardin Alexander and Amy P'Pool. They were all relatives.... in-laws and cousins....great story!!! John Poole is my great grandfather.
