Hi Nancy: Thanks for the reply. My Esther Barrett married George W. Gibson August 1861 in Owsley County. This was her only marriage. It's quite possible there is a connection because Esther seems to be a popular name in the Barrett family. I have only been able to go back to Esther's father Jesse Barrett, Sr. who was born in 1796. Jess Old Friend.... God forbid that we should ever have those kinds of worries. Not the worries that would involve you jumpin outa airplanes, nor those that come with the actual fighting and carrying on that comes with having the world at war. The worries Im speakin of is how your family and friends would be able to sleep at night knowin the pride and true treasure of Clay County would be away from home kickin the tar outa somebody. Found these names on the Kentucky Death Records. http://ukcc.uky.edu/~vitalrec/ No Fred in the search for Clay CO. You might try just the letter F. and not put in a place and see what you get.
