A BUSY DAY
By Jess Wilson

After the hanging William`s father, Boston Baker, had places the body in a boat and with the help of a friend had taken it down river. When they got to the Pruitt schoolhouse there was an all night dance going on. They used the

I have no idea why some people think Louisa Jackson belongs to Jarvis

wife. The family of Cager and the family of Balaam Smith were tied together
through more ways than just this union. Cager's second wife Amanda C. Smith
was Balaam's eldest daughter. Addison was about 10 years younger than
Amanda and I have been in contact with a descendent of that line who gave me
the info she had on Louisa and Addison (limited I a

ever hearing about before, is wrong.
BTW, I am sorry to hear about your son-in-law. That is so sad.

This is an update of the Owsley County Historical Society website. We now have the 1890 Veterans Census online, it is on the Military History section of the site. By Mid Week the Cow Creek and Bufallo districts of the 1930 census will also be available. Forthcoming are some transcribed letters and such from Abner Baker Srs life book prepared by Jackie Burton.

Hi Joyce, Thanks for responding. The "Perry Jackson" that I asked about,
appears, probably to be the son of Isaac And Eliza Jackson. Although from
the age, it could also be the son of Milton and Rebecca Jackson.
The Perry Jackson listed with Milton And Rebecca, was a brother of my
grandfather, John. But I can't remember any one in the family, ever talking
about him..
So maybe he died at an early age......Again, Thanks a lot.. Ed Jackson
